Mt. La Crosse Ski Patrol Hosts 4th Annual Gear Swap

 

The Mt. La Crosse Ski Patrol is excited to announce the 4th Annual Spring Outdoor Gear Swap, inviting the greater La Crosse community to gear up for their next adventure. The event will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2025, at the Green Island Ice Arena, located at 2312 7th St S, La Crosse. This year’s swap will be held both indoors and outdoors in partnership with the City of La Crosse Park and Recreation Department.

 

The Spring Outdoor Gear Swap offers a fantastic opportunity for local residents to sell gently used outdoor equipment on consignment or purchase pre-loved gear. Items for sale include camping and hiking equipment, bikes and biking gear, fishing tackle, outdoor clothing for both adults and kids, and much more. Boats, campers, and UTVs are also welcome at the sale. **Please note that firearms will not be accepted.**

 Gear Drop-Off Days & Times:

A $2 consignment fee will be charged for each item individuals wish to sell. Additionally, a 20% commission donation will be given to the Ski Patrol for each item sold.

 

With sustainability and affordability at the heart of the event, the Spring Outdoor Gear Swap promotes communal exchange, ensuring quality outdoor gear continues to be used and appreciated. As the Ski Patrol’s primary fundraiser, the event will directly support their vital efforts to maintain safety for visitors at Mt. La Crosse.

The event is open to the public, making it an ideal outing for seasoned adventurers, families, and newcomers to the outdoor community. In addition to the gear swap, attendees can engage with local organizations and learn about outdoor safety, gear maintenance, trail maps, bicycle and gear rentals, and programs aimed at encouraging more youth to embrace outdoor recreation.
